Carmen Armero, Full Professor of Statistics and Operations Research at the Universitat de València, Spain. Her research focuses on Bayesian statistics, especially on longitudinal models, survival analysis, joint models of longitudinal and survival data, hidden Markov chains in longitudinal models in sports contexts and on classification models in archaeological settings.

She is currently the director of the Bayesian research group VABAR and the VIBASS summer school in Bayesian Inference, and vice-president of Statistics of the Society for Statistics and Operations Research (SEIO).
