Christophe Ley is Professor of Applied Statistics at the University of Luxembourg since 2021. He is President of ECAS, the European Association for Advanced Statistics Courses, President of the Luxembourg Statistical Society, Associate Editor of the journals Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics, Econometrics & Statistics, and Statistique et Société. His achievements include the Marie-Jeanne Laurent Duhamel Prize of the Société Française de Statistique and an Elected Membership at the International Statistical Institute. His research group consists of 6 PhD students and 3 post-docs.

Within sport analytics, his research interests include modelling sports outcomes (especially in two-team or two-person sports), predicting match and competition outcomes, predicting injuries and detecting factors leading to injuries. Among others, he has edited two books on science and sports.
