Prof. Dr. Thomas Tischer is the Head of section "orthopedic sport surgery and prevention" at the department of orthopedic surgery of the university of Rostock. He is the incoming president of the German speaking Society for Orthopaedic Traumatologic Sport Medicine (GOTS) and head of the prevention committee of the GOTS. He is the chair of the ESSKA Revision ACL Working Group (2020-2022). His research currently focuses on joint preserving surgeries including tissue engineering as well as biomechanics and prevention of sports injuries.
