Yves Dominicy is a Data Scientist in the domain of Credit Risk in the banking sector in Luxembourg since 2017. He formerly worked as a Research Fellow of the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research and Lecturer at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management of the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, where he received his Ph.D. in Economics and Management in 2014. From a research point of view, he is interested in heavy-tailed distributions, extreme value theory and sport analytics.

He is a member of the Luxembourg Statistical Society Board Committee, and the author of articles in journals such as Journal of Econometrics, International Statistical Review, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology and Journal of Sports Sciences.

Within sport analytics, he has published two papers on table tennis and is working on two further papers about table tennis.  He has edited (together with Christophe Ley) the book “Science Meets Sports: When Statistics Are More Than Numbers” with Cambridge Publishing Scholars. He is a member of the Data Science team of the BDSports group.
