Morten Wang Fagerland (MSc, PhD) is Head of the Section for Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Oslo University Hospital and Associate Professor, Department of Sports Medicine and Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. 

Fagerland has 15 years’ experience in biostatistics and clinical research and 5 years’ experience as a statistician in sports medicine. He is the first author of more than 20 publications on statistical methodology in medical and health-related research, including the recent book Statistical Analysis of Contingency Tables (Chapman & Hall/CRC, 2017). Fagerland is the trial statistician and/or sits on the steering committee of 10+ ongoing clinical trials, and is a member of research groups within clinical trials, physical activity, and training load and injury in football. He is the WP leader for Statistics in the Norwegian Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (NorCRIN).
